Mission Statement:
The mission of the FAMU Chevron STR 2 EAM Innovation Fab Lab is to enrich and illuminate the minds of any stakeholders, be they students, faculty staff, parents, and entrepreneurs within the community, through captivating educational experiences rooted in the domains of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). We are committed to opening the doors to STEAM opportunities, allowing stakeholders to dive deep into interactive and engaging activities. This approach is designed to pave their way towards innovative and successful careers in STEM fields. In this context, STR2EAM represents the lab’s initiative within the College of Education, where 'STEAM' stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. The addition of “R” (reading) or “R 2 ” (reading and research) emphasizes our dedication to integrating literacy and research-based practices into our programmatic offerings.

The objectives of the partnership between FAMU Fab Lab include:
1. STR 2 EAM Literacy and Application in Education:
- Enable stakeholders to use and interpret STR 2 EAM knowledge to understand the world around them.
- Foster an understanding of STR 2 EAM theories and evidence.
- Encourage students to investigate and formulate STR 2 EAM explanations.
- Engage students in STR2EAM-related debates, prompting them to ask questions and adopt a critical perspective.
- Equip students with the knowledge and evidence needed to devise creative solutions.
2. Best Practices in STR 2 EAM Education:
- Identify and employ exemplary teaching and learning practices for both novice and experienced STR 2 EAM educators.
3. Creating STR2EAM Opportunities:
- Generate meaningful STR2EAM experiences for K-12 students, enhancing the existing curriculum with exciting learning methods, workshops, activities, and mini-lessons.
4. Creating STR2EAM Opportunities:
