We offer a program that will enable graduates to pursue leadership career opportunities in educational settings and organizations involved with education-related issues. Students are equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge that will make them into professional effective change agents, and successful program managers, particularly in schools and agencies that serve the needs of minority and at-risk populations.
This unique program is organized in the cohort format based upon the constructivist philosophical foundation. Interpersonal and intrapersonal development, as well as cultural considerations, are identified as elements essential to effective leadership, and are emphasized in the doctoral program. We also place a high priority on acquiring theoretical and methodological content.
